Cardigan Welsh Corgi

Cardigan Welsh Corgi

The Cardigan Corgi is thought to be the older of the two varieties of Welsh Corgi’s with a history dating back to around the year 1200. He has in the past been referred to as the Yard Dog because the length from the tip of nose to the end of the tail is the measurement for a Welsh yard.

He is capable of fitting into town or country life with the minimum of fuss and makes a delightful companion. Grooming is necessary but is not a major job, just brush and comb through as well as the occasional bath to keep him clean. If approached properly grooming can be a pleasurable experience for both dog and owner.
