Dandie Dinmont Terrier

Dandie Dinmont Terrier

The Dandie Dinmont originated in the Border country of England and Scotland, and he shares a common heritage with other terriers, i.e. Scottish, Cairn, West Highland White, and Skye Terriers. He is hearty, densely built and determined. His affections are earned and are, therefore, doubly appreciated. The Dandie Dinmont motto seems to be "live & let live" however, if he is pushed too far or taken advantage of he will never back down. He does need occasional hand stripping and regular brushing and combing by his owner to keep his coat in good order.
