The Irish Red & White Setter came from the same root-stock as the Irish Setter, he may even be his predecessor. He is a good natured dog well suited to fitting in with family life. A daily walk is needed as he is a fairly big dog and is quite athletic.
The coat is fairly easy to maintain but does need regular brushing and grooming to keep it in good condition, the feathering does grow fairly long and so does need particular attention.
