Sussex Spaniel

Sussex Spaniel

The Sussex Spaniel is faithful and loyal with a great sense of humour. They love company, are very tactile and like to sit as close to you as possible. They are strong willed and at times stubborn when they need to be reminded that you are head of the pack. Not all Sussex are tolerant of small children but with junior children can make a happy family dog. They are usually tolerant of other dogs providing they are well socialised when young. They are naturally protective and you will always feel safe when they are out with you. They are not prone to wandering, nor are they hyper active. The coat does require regular grooming, little and often prevents tangles becoming a problem. Plenty of handling at a young age helps with their socialisation.

They are a dual purpose gundog which are good pets that can also be working or Show dogs. If you are considering buying a Sussex Spaniel please contact the following for advice and the name of a reputable breeder
